• Describe what happened. • Approximately what year did this happen. • In what house, town, or state did it occur. • What events led to the experience. • What were you or others thinking or feeling. • What happened next as a result of the experience. • Who else was involved and how did it affect them. • Tell why you think this makes a memorable story to preserve. • You can work on a computer, which allows you to easily add or delete, or use a pencil and paper. Add a date to the top of the page – the year the experience happened. If you decide to keep writing, you will be able to organize the various stories in the order they occurred.
