   NEW ORDERING OPTIONS

It is often difficult for an author to know how many books to order in the beginning, whether doing a hard cover or soft cover. When family members see the book and want a copy, but you have sold all you have, you can give permission for that person to contact us and order 5 books (or more), if you have elected that option in the very beginning.

     This applies to:
      1.  Soft cover books that are 6 x 9 or 8.5 x 11 in size. 
      2. Hard cover books with glue binding that are 6 x 9  or 7 x 10 (not 8.5 x 11).
      3. Soft cover books with interior color pages. Sizes are 8.5 x 8.5 or 8.5 x 11.

To have the option of later re-ordering as few as 5 books, you must elect this option in the very beginning when we first do your book, because it is set up in a different way.

If you choose a hard cover sewn binding for your book, the re-order is still a minimum of 25 books. 

BOOKS FULL OF COLOR

There are two new options on color:

1. Now you have the option of submitting to us digital files of the color photos you want in the book.

It is best to have one or two "sections" with all these color photos, to keep down the cost of "placing" them within the book before binding.  Each color page or section that must be "placed" before binding carries a charge for each book.  This book can be soft cover, or hard cover with sewn binding, and sized as 6 x 9 or 8.5 x 11.

2. Another new technology also provides color page options for soft cover books only. Soft cover sizes: 8.5 x 8.5 or 8.5 x 11.

     This option requires that the book be designed in a program called InDesign by Adobe, a service we offer. This technology is not yet available for hard cover books. The advantage is that after the initial order, you can re-order as few as 5 books at a time. Yes, the per-book price when ordering only 5 goes up, but it's not unreasonable.
