Personal History
In these pages are recorded events that shaped my life. They are a part of me. There is nothing extraordinary about me or about my life. Millions could tell more intriguing life stories. Nevertheless, I have seen and done things most people never see or do, and perhaps my account may be of some interest to someone among my posterity whose thoughts may wander to the life and times of a forefather. Much of the following account can be documented from letters and journal entries. However, much is the product of my memory, which across the expanse of time tends to be somewhat hazy. I have tried to be as accurate as possible; nevertheless, there might be inaccuracies. If there are inaccuracies, they are not intentional. I pray the reader may find something herein that will prove interesting or useful.
