DAUGHTERS OF THE UTAH PIONEERS

. . .This PIONEER CABIN located at about 75 North Main Street was built by William Cordainly in 1867. It was donated by Dwight Swindle to Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, CAMP ALMA, if they would move it off his property.  Click photo for full image

    They did, and now it rests on Main Street, and is well taken care of and preserved.
    In the year 2000 the following are officers of Camp Alma; Captain, JoeAnn Barney; First Vice Captain, Mae Jensen; Second Vice Captain, Alice Washburn; Secretary, La Ray Bryant; Treasurer, Helen Brind; Parliamentarian, Elva Hansen; Chaplain, Corrine Winget; Museum Artifacts, Mae Hardy; Chorister, Faye Adams; Organist, Sadie Sydenham; Historian, Kathie Jenkins; Registrar, Lou Ella Lee.

. . .CAMP MONROE MOUNTAIN. At this time the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Camp Monroe Mountain, are meeting in the Club House in the basement of the Library, and hoping to find a building of their own, to be able to store artifacts, and in which they would be able to hold their meetings. Their officers in the year 2000 are; Captain, Vivien Northrup; First Vice Captain, Lynda Curtis; Secretary and Treasurer, LaNell Lee; Historian and Registrar, Marva Taylor; Parliamentarian, Bonnie Nielson; Chaplain, Lynn Jones; Lesson Leader, Ila Asay; Chorister, Jean Copeland; Organist, Karen Swindle.
